Live near a toll plaza? You can now get your monthly local pass on your phone. NHAI's new digital pass on the Rajmargyatra app skips the queue entirely, verified via DigiLocker and VAHAN.
If you live near a toll plaza and are tired of the monthly pass paperwork, there is good news. The National Highways Authority of India has launched a digital Local Pass on its Rajmargyatra app, letting eligible residents complete the whole process from their phone.
Who Can Get It
Residents living within a 20-kilometre radius of an eligible toll plaza can buy a monthly pass online. The pass allows unlimited crossings at that plaza during its validity, and there is no need to visit the toll booth even once.
How the Verification Works
The app uses consent-based integration with DigiLocker and VAHAN to automatically pull your verified address, vehicle registration, and linked FASTag details. No photocopies, no counters.
Where It Is Live
The service starts at the Mundka–Bakkarwala toll plaza on UER-II in Delhi, and NHAI plans a nationwide rollout in the coming months.
