The streamer also unveiled five new photos from their live-action reimagining of the acclaimed Nickelodeon animated series, which can be seen by scrolling through the slideshow below.
The new trailer showcases Avatar Aangโs (Gordon Cormier) mission to master earthbending by seeking tutelage from Toph Beifong (Miyako).
The trailer includes plenty of shots of Toph exhibiting why she is, in Aangโs estimation, โthe best earthbender Iโve ever seen.โ
This official synopsis sheds more light on whatโs in store for our heroes come June 25th:
โIn S2, after a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Avatar Aang, Katara and Sokka regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against fearsome Fire Lord Ozai."
If youโre in Los Angeles the first weekend of June then be sure to get tickets to attend IGN Live where Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Gordon Cormier and Miyako and executive producers Christine Boylan, and Jabbar Raisani will swing by to promote Season 2.
In the meantime, be sure to read our review of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 1, which our critic Joshua Yehl deemed โa worthy adaptation that adds a textured richness to the lore. Whatโs most important is that it captures the spirit of the original while forging its own path; for as different as the two series may be, this one keeps the flawed, complicated, lovable characters at the forefront, showcasing what makes them great and adding new layers of depth along the way.โ
