Apple Unveils 'Vision Pro 2': Cheaper, Lighter, Better — And Finally Coming to India
Apple's second-generation spatial computing headset weighs 30% less, costs $2,499, and launches in India alongside 8 global markets.
Apple has officially announced the Vision Pro 2, its second-generation spatial computing headset that addresses the key criticisms of the original: weight, price, and availability.
The Vision Pro 2 weighs just 400 grams (compared to 600g for the original), costs $2,499 (down from $3,499), and will launch in India for the first time alongside 8 global markets in June 2026.
The upgraded headset features the M4 Max chip for enhanced performance, a larger field of view (120° vs 100°), and a new "transparent mode" that offers near-natural passthrough — making the boundaries between digital and physical worlds virtually invisible.
Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted enterprise applications as the primary growth driver: "We're seeing Vision Pro used in surgery, architecture, and manufacturing. The consumer story is still evolving, but the enterprise story is already here."
